Home from the Hospital

We are home from the hospital, and life is good. Katie is still recovering, but she feels good. We finally decided on a name: Ella Elizabeth Davis. My great grandma's name was Ella Elizabeth, and my grandma Davis's given name is Ella, even though she goes by Joyce. And Elizabeth is also Katie's Nana's name, so it is a very strong family name. Ella is still sleeping a lot, and Grace loves being with her baby sister. She loves holding her and giving her kisses. She has been very sweet and gentle with her. Here are some more pictures:

Oh I am just so thrilled for your sweet family!!!! I cry because I am so happy for you all. . that Sting song. . "I'm so happy, I can't stop crying" comes to mind. . . two little bite size sweet girls! I wish I was closer!!!!! Today I had an arrogant twenty something step on my foot on the metro while he was reading the post, a fat man in a sear sucker suit basically sit on my lap and a tourist in a muscle shirt put his armpit in my face. . .and then I get to see this post and the world is right again!!! Miss you all!!!!!

Ian-
The one of you holding her close to your head is great. Seeing her next to your thumb really gives a sense of how tiny she is.

Allyson told me the big news, so I immediately visited to check for pictures. Congratulations! Ella is so cute. And so is Grace! Give my best to Katie, who looks absolutely amazing by the way.

Congrats you two. Katie you look lovely (not that there's any surprise there - you always look amazing!), and Ella is lovely. Definitely takes after her mother Ian! ;)

Once Holden gets here (sometime after January 23), we'll have to set up a play date!

Oh, not sure if you heard... it's official -- we're having a boy.

Love- suite

PS. Ian, is Katie's blog private? I want in.
