Baby Gracie
At long last, baby Gracie arrived. She was born Saturday night around 8:00. She weighted 5 pounds, 6 ounces. She is a tiny little thing--her premie diapers don't even fit her--but she is healthy and fully developed (she doesn't even have jaundice). She is still sleeping all day an all night, except for every few hours when she wakes up to eat and to tell us she needs her diaper changed
On a side note, Gracie was born during the Real v. Real game, and I take it as a good omen that David Beckam was gracing the soccer field at the time of her birth and that TomKat (that's right, Tom Cruise & Katie Holmes) were present in the stadium watching the game. I suppose that TomKat's baby, if, in fact, they really did have a baby, which is debateable, was also in town. With all that star-power just a stone's-throw away at the time of her birth, I figure that she will either be a brilliant soccer player, a famous acress, or a scientologist (after all, Katie (Davis, not Holmes) is certified in Dianetics).

Yippeeeee!!! You posted pictures! She is so precious! Congrats Katie and Ian. This makes me even more excited for baby blakesley. A little nervous, though, since i have a month to go and they think he is already 5.5 pounds. Anyway, we are soooooooooooooo excited for you both! Love honorary Aunt Katie

Thanks for all your nice comments. It is very fun having a new baby in the house. And, yes, TomKat was in town to watch the Real game. Pardis is our source. She said that TomKat was up in the luxury boxes with Posh Spice watching the game. Apparently, they are friends. That, or they are trying to convert Beckam to scientology.
Ian and Katie- what a pretty little girl! We just spent the last few months at the lake with Roman and let me tell you grandchildren are the greatest! He is so fun and smiles 95% of the time. He LOVES camping!I can't wait for you to have all these wonderful experiences with Grace. Congratulations! We need to get "the next generation" together! Whitney will post some of the camping photos on her blog soon. whitneyjdavis.blogspot.com best to you all! love Great Auntie Carol
Kates and Ian,
Grace is the luckiest girl in the world! She sure knows how to pick a great duo for her mom and dad. She is also darling and sweet and as close to perfect as they come. I couldn't be happier for the two of you. And, as "Auntie Marth," I couldn't be happier for myself! Three cheers for the Davis clan! See you soon. I just can't get enough of her. And, I love seeing you both as well. You may regret moving so close...Love to the three of you,
Auntie Marth
