1) Having fun with dad
2) Playing with Grandpa (notice the Aggie headband)
3) Surrounded!
4) Grace loved playing in the chicken coop/playhouse.
5) Grace did not like the sheep.
Hopefully this blog will turn into a nice mix of updates on my life and fun reminiscences. In the past, I have made countless resolutions to write in my journal more often in an attempt to record my own personal history, to make myself think more deeply about the things around me, and to record past memories. Hopefully, I’ll have more success meeting those goals here. And now, considering this public format, I will have to add a fourth goal: to be entertaining. All comments are welcome!

The farm was a lot of fun. It looks like they have done a lot over the years to nicen it up. They have restored lots of the old buildings and planted lots of grass. There are also lots of nice little picnic areas. Owen liked the animals but seemed to be more interested in picking up rocks and banging them together.
that's awesome - looks like it was a lot of fun. I remember that chicken coop house - but I never realized it was for chickens. I thought it was a playhouse for kids from the olden days - when they were all smaller.
Did they still have hayrides?
They do still have hayrides and cow milking demonstrations, but we were there at night, so everything was closed down. We just got to see the animals in their pens. I was dissapointed that the little store by the lake with the hard candy for sale was closed. But my mom did bring bread (not wonder bread, unfortunately) so we could feed the ducks. Grace just ate it. I guess she was not in the mood for sharing.
I remember going there, both when we lived in Utah and when we came over from Colorado. I think my mom has pictures of me, her, you, your mom, and Spencer all feeding the ducks. I bet the kids loved it.
And Spencer, all Roman is interested in is rocks too, and dirt of course. But we did take him out to a family friends dairy farm to see the baby calves. They will suck on anything and he had his whole hand in their mouths.
Whitney-
That is funny about Roman and the baby calves. I don't think that I would dare let a cow suck on my hand. I would be affraid that my hand would be bitten off.
We had a great time at Wheeler Farm. I don't know why the sheep scared Grace. I guess they were loud.
Owen was great at the farm. He is getting so big.
Whitney and Cblakes, someday when everyday is in town we will have to take the kids and all go to Wheeler Farm.
