Facebook Superstar

In my ongoing quest to expand my online presence, I have started a facebook account. Blogging is a great way to stay connected with people, but I have a lot of friends who facebook and don't blog, so I decided to expand my horizons too. Plus, its so hot right now. I'm still trying to figure out how to do it, but it seems pretty cool. Any tips from you experienced facebookers out there?

Whats next, a myspace account? You've turned into such an internet whore.

Fine. Be that way. See if I send you an online high five when you get a facebook account.

What a jerk, at least I know not to 'poke' him.

Suggestion: Find old high school buddies, make fun of the same people you used to make fun of and see how long it takes those people to find you.

Another suggestion: create a fake identity, trust me, you'll be happier about it in the end.

I read an article or saw a news report that said that there are some employers who use things like facebook and myspace to do research on thier potential employees.

Also, have you heard that you can start a facebook "farm" or something like that. You build up points and then you can send people animals. I bet that Mr. Rumble would send you a sheep, he is into that.

Yes, Mike, I saw a similar article. I have also heard that it can be a very good networking tool (not just social networking, but networking for client development and job hunting). One of my friends was telling me that when his brother (a Harvard MBA) started looking for a new job, he hired a guy to help him, and this guy told my friend's brother that he needed to set up a facebook account. So far, I haven't seen how it can be a good tool for client development, other than allowing you to stay in touch with a greater number of people. But I probably just don't know what I'm doing.

I also read a really interesting article a few months ago about how all the Presidential candidates are using myspace and facebook. It was pretty funny. Someone should try to add Hillary Clinton or Mitt or someone as a friend and see what happens.

I used to love facebook when I worked nights. It was great to snoop around. But now it is blocked at the hospital. I guess I'll actually have to do some work now.

I-davis, as you have probably already seen by my facebook page, I love facebook.

By adding me as a friend you are well on your way to facebook superstardom.
